Rocket Farm Studios BadgeThe mobile market is booming, and Rocket Farm Studios has the right stuff to launch successful iPhone apps. But to us they’re not just iPhone apps, they’re Missions. And every successful mission requires sound strategy, creative thinking and flight ready engineering, which is why we’re able to get apps airborne quickly. We love the work we do. Read more, and you’ll see why.

Poem Flow: Like a Playlist for your Soul

Poem Flow: Like a Playlist for your Soul

In a collaboration with the American Academy of Poets and TextTelevision (the inventors of Text Flow), Rocket Farm created a unique, portable poetry experience. Here’s how it works: each day, Poem Flow subscribers receive a poem on iPhone that, depending on how you hold the device, can be viewed in static form or in flowing text across the screen. In addition to being a really cool way to read poetry, Poem Flow paces the piece of text and relieves the brain of some of the work it normally has to do to process the written word. So you’re free to sit back and enjoy, much like a cup of hot tea or a good cigar.

But part of the Poem Flow fun is sharing the experience, so we designed the app with that in mind. Twitter, Facebook and email functionality are all built in; poems from past days become part of your repertoire, and can easily be shared with family and friends. Additionally, Poem Flow uses Geolocation technology to find other fans, so you can see who’s reading what and where. Maybe it’s just us, but something about that makes the world feel just a little more cozy. And, well, a little more civilized, too.

Jumbli: Big Fun on the Little Screen

Jumbli: Big Fun on the Little Screen

Rocket Farm Studios partnered with LocaModa, specializing in site-specific interactive social media, to bring the popular word game Jumbli to iPhone. Already a fan favorite online and in restaurants and bars nationwide, this Scrabble-meets-pinball game can be seen on a Jumbotron in NYC’s Times Square four times each hour; the “live” icon in the top right corner of your phone lets you know it’s time to get tapping.

LocaModa knows place-based social media; Rocket Farm knows successful iPhone apps. Together, we’ve boosted a brand, engaged new audiences, and made life just a little more fun.

Here’s what people are saying:
“Played this on the train today – how bummed I was the ride was over b/c I could play this all day… being live on the Jumbotron is so cool every 15 mins. Love that it’s free. A good solid app.” — Kikalee

SOMEECARDS: FOR A TOUCH OF HUMOR

SOMEECARDS: FOR A TOUCH OF HUMOR

Acclaimed humor site someecards came to Rocket Farm Studios to extend their popular brand to iPhone, making it that much easier to send e-greetings for every occasion or just because.

With a top-50 Twitter following and millions of fans, someecards has a reputation for the provocative, the irreverent, and the kind of LOL funny that breaks up an otherwise boring day. Who else but Rocket Farm to propel that kind of humor into fingertip territory? There’s a reason we won the O’Reilly App Smackdown for best e-card app.

Everything you love about the someecards web site is now available on your phone, so you can search, browse and send cards on pretty much any subject from pretty much anywhere. Because at Rocket Farm, we believe you should be able to amuse people whenever and wherever you like.

Because everyone’s funny bone is in a slightly different place, the app hit a speed bump on the road from idea to iTunes.

Here’s what people are saying:
“Thanks a lot. My friends already think I’ve been lost to iPhone addiction, and now I can send them wonderfully ironic and sarcastically bitter postcards to reinforce that observation.” – Randy
